For the very first time in Ghana, a movie press conference has been held in Ghana before the production of the movie even starts. On the 10th of July, 2015, the makers of the hit movie “I DO” held their movie press conference at the African Regent Hotel where they disclosed to the media on what their new movie, they are about to shoot is about, the cast and crew involved and also answered questions from the media on the movie they are about to make.
ABC Pictures, the production house which has been in existence for 3 years already can boast of 4 movies to their credit and their fifth movie which production is expected to commmence before the end of July gave an opportunity to Ghbase.com to a part of the media that was invited for the press conference.
Kafui Danku, the beautiful sexy ewe woman who is now an A-List actress and a movie producer is the CEO of ABC Pictures has successfully produced four movies, which are Letters to my Mother, Devil In A Dress, Happy Deathday and I Do within a span of two and a half year, a feat which is applaudable for a woman of her caliber.
At the press conference, the Creative Director for ABC Pictures, Ms Ada announced that the title of the movie which is about to be shot is “Any Other Monday” and will be starring the Single, Married and Complicated producer and actress, Yvonne Nelson, the Librarian and Ghanaian actor, Jose Tolbert, a new handsome face from Nigeria, Kunle Remi, and the producer of the movie herself, Kafui Danku, Selly Galley and other new faces.
The movie which will be directed by Ghana’s ace film maker Pacal Amanfo is expected to be shot in Accra and some environs of Takoradi and Pascal promises to deliver great picture quality on these movie, like never seen before.
On the question of how much budget had been allocated for the production of the movie, which was asked by me, Chris Handler, the production house was adamant in letting out a figure, arguing that, they don’t make that much from making movies and it’s mainly passion that still drives to continue-Something we get all the time from producers.
The movie “Any Other Monday” is set around the marriage theme and tries to reveal all of those many things that happens in marriage. We were not given a definite sypnosis for the movie, but the makers promised us it’s going to be something we would love.
