Police dismisses reports linking Rhodaline Amoah-Darko’s disappearance to her husband

The Ghana Police Service has released fresh information on the disappearance of Rhodaline Amoako-Darko, the woman who went missing in Sunyani over a month ago.

In a statement dated October 26, 2021, the police revealed that investigations into the whereabouts of the woman remain inconclusive however, the husband of the woman who is a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been picked up.

According to the police, Dr Wilberfporce Aggrey has been referred to the Psychiatry due to “some incoherent statement from him on the matter.”

It had been reported earlier that Dr Wilberforce Aggery might be complicit in the missing and possible murder of his wife. Unconfirmed reports suggested that he allegedly killed his wife and hid his lifeless body in their house then turned around to cry wolf about the whereabouts. READ MORE HERE.

According to the report, the marriage was on the brink of collapse due to the bad blood better the couple which reportedly led to the man hitting the woman dead.

Initial reports had it that the missing lady, Rhoda, had been missing since Monday, August 30, 2021, after notifying her husband on that fateful day that she was heading to Sunyani on official business.

She worked for the Kumasi Lands Commission and went on a field inspection at the alleged Sunyani, which she warned her husband about, but she was not accompanied by any other officer and has not returned home since.

The incident was reported to the police and the Lands Commission’s headquarters to facilitate her location.

But the police statement has clarified that such reports remain unconfirmed and also “impeded Police Investigations” It has urged persons with additional information to forward it to them to aid in their investigations.
