New report about the protracted Menzgold issue has raised its ugly head again after police cautioned clients to halt their numerous demonstrations.
In a statement released by the Greater Accra Police Command, the police indicated they have other people to serve and won’t tolerate another demonstration from Menzgold customers because they had one not too long ago.
For the records, Menzgold customers have protested at least 8 times in 14 months and from the look of things, they want to hit the streets again.
But the police stays they want to use their time to fight crime and other salient issues bordering on security, hence won’t tolerate any more protest from them.
The statement reads;
“Grateful be informed that the command is concentrating on the fight against robbery and other violent crimes as we enter the threshold of the year, as a result, cannot accept any form of Demonstration, Picketing and Walk during this period.
The command also wishes to remind you that you have already demonstrated on the same subject matter in less than six (6) month as such will not tolerate any further demonstration as other citizens must also have their interest served by the Police.”
