Police officer who refused to stop at Police barrier crashes car; parcels of ‘hard substances’ found in his car [Video]

A police officer from the Tesano-Accra Formed Police Unit is under security at the Peki Government Hospital, where he was evacuated after a collision on the Kpeve highlands in the Volta Region.

The police officer, identified as G/Sergeant Lotsu Agbeko, 36, was claimed to be driving to the Volta Region in his own Toyota Corolla but failed to halt when he reached the Have police barrier.

His refusal to heed the alert led to a hard pursuit by the barrier staff.

Unfortunately, he was engaged in an accident during the procedure, resulting in a fracture in his left hand. He was subsequently taken to a nearby medical institution.

Following a vehicle examination, 84 packets of chemicals presumed to be Indian hemp were discovered crushed in the boot.

He is thought to be responding positively to therapy.

According to a situational report issued by Kpeve police on Tuesday, June 14, the suspect has been under surveillance since the incident on Saturday, June 11 about 12:30 pm.

The chemicals were recovered.
