Policeman fights with Trotro mate for refusing to give him a free lift (Watch)

A police officer was not happy a bus conductor (Trotro mate) refused to put ‘respect on his uniform’ by asking him to pay for his fare when he boarded his commercial vehicle.

He therefore engaged in a verbal confrontation with the young man on a bus in Ikorodu Axis of Lagos.

Eyewitnesses report that the policeman intended to board the bus for free as a government ‘staff’ which was resisted by the bus driver and his conductor as they insisted that they can no longer carry staff in their bus for free.

The driver, while fiercely resisting the move by the policeman, was quoted as saying; “Since the government does not pity poor people that use danfo for business and keep increasing the cost of petrol.”

Seeing that his request was being turned down, the policeman allegedly became aggressive and started laying his hands on the conductor as the other passengers joined forces with the driver to slam him.
