Popular YouTuber Wode Maya gets back hacked channel; says he has lost 3000 subscribers

Wode Maya has announced that he has reclaimed his YouTube account but his viewership has dropped by 3000.

The popular video blogger’s main YouTube channel, which has more than 1.2 million subscribers, was compromised after a hacker with the name Microstrategy took over the channel and deleted all his monetised videos.

A Google search on Thursday, February 23, 2023, showed that the hacker has taken full control of the channel designed for his parochial interest after he erased all the videos Maya had uploaded and was fetching him good cash.

While the renowned YouTuber made no comment on the matter while his channel was down, Maya says he sent several messages to YouTube to prompt them about what was happening.

Wode Maya, in his latest video, thanked his YouTube strategic partners and his fans folɔr their support, adding that the hackers were able to bypass his Gmail two-step authentication to take over his account.

Wode Maya’s real name is Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon. He is an aeronautical engineer, vlogger, YouTube celebrity, and digital media influencer from Ghana.

In 2017, he recorded himself on a bus with empty seats next to him while other passengers stood due to the colour of his complexion. The video quickly gained popularity. He is recognized as one of Africa’s Best and Most Influential YouTubers.
