Prophet Kumchacha has angrily thrown some shots at the religious leaders championing the National Cathedral course in a video sighted by GhBase.
A sod-cutting ceremony to launch Ghana’s “National Cathedral” was held not long after Nana Akufo-Presidential Addo’s win in December 2016.
This ceremony, held on March 6, 2017, was part of a bigger celebration of Ghana’s 60th anniversary of independence and was followed a year later by the public publication of the project plan.
These drawings revealed a sequence of chapels, a baptistery, a 5,000-seat auditorium, a music school, an art gallery, a commercial shop, and a Bible Museum designed by acclaimed British-Ghanaian architect David Adjaye.
The Akan-inspired design, according to Adjaye, is “a real expression of the art and culture of the lovely people of Ghana.”
President Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed that the Cathedral’s construction represents the fulfillment of a promise he made to (Christian) God.
The amount involved has struck Ghanaians who have vented their anger on the government as to why the money that could be used to better the lives of Ghanaians be spent on an edifice that wouldn’t bring much impact on the economy.
And according to Kumchacha on Onua TV, the religious leaders who are championing the course of the construction of the Nationa Cathedral are people who have no mercy for the ordinary Ghanaian.
Making his submission on Onua Tv Morning show, Kumchacha pointed out that they are supporting the government to waste money because they have and will continue to benefit from it.
He clearly stated that he won’t donate a cedi to help in the building of the national cathedral and would rather his money on buying items to donate to the needy and prisoners at Nsawam Prisons.
