Co-star in the famous Taxi Driver series Mikki Osei Berko, widely known as Master Richard, has paid respects to the late Psalm Adjeteyfio, who died early Friday morning.
He added the legendary actor was like an elder brother to him not just in their golden days but also in recent times when the dead was going through bad circumstances.
He stated they chatted to one other a lot.
Speaking on TV3‘s Midday Live on Friday, April 8, Master Richard said TT, as Psalm Adjeteyfio was lovingly nicknamed, was absolutely in need of support.
“He shared to me his predicaments because he thought that I could comprehend where his problems are and what he is going through,” he told Anita Akua Akuffo.
The legendary actor, who acted in various movies, died at his Ayikuma house in the Shai Osudoku District.
He came under criticism for reportedly running to the media at the least chance to beg for handouts.
But Mikki Osei Berko believes he empathised with him since he recognized the health problems of TT.
“A part of the time that he was blasted in the media, when I had the chance I attempt to inform the public that the guy is unwell and needed assistance rather than the castigation and the bashing.”
Mikki Osei Berko, who is now a certified coach, seized the opportunity to plead for support for experienced performers, claiming that most of them are presently without work since the television stations are broadcasting telenovelas.
“It comes down to the same media I keep talking about. I believe that a lot of creative artists are going through circumstances because the economy is not built to assist them earn anything off their talent and TT was an example.
“As I speak to you, there are no employment for performers. Why? Because most of the TV channels are broadcasting telenovelas.”
