His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, we the unposted qualified graduate teachers in the country respectfully call for your intervention to order Ghana Education Service (GES) to reconsider its subjective policy.

The Education Act 2008 (Act778) by National Teaching Council (NTC) compels all recognized trained teachers from both Universities and Colleges to undertake Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) in order to be licensed as professional Teachers.

We generously adhere to this Act so as to meet the necessary measures and criteria that facilitate our posting into classrooms.

Mr. President, it’s rather painful to state vehemently that, we have met all the necessary requirements in order to be posted but it’s rather unfortunate that we the qualified ones were denied by Ghana Education Service when postings were released and they rather picked from their own perspective.

The most painful aspect is that some unprofessional and graduates from KNUST and the University of Ghana (UG) are given appointment letters through backdoors with Ghana Education Service and even to the extent of generating Licensure Codes just to facilitate their postings meanwhile, qualified teachers with all documents were denied by Ghana Education Service (GES).

In this respect, we, therefore, appeal to you to come to our aid by ordering GES to secure our employment. We believe that it’s a dream of our President to maintain the good image of Ghana as in the subsequent years ahead of us.

We, once again entreat the management of Ghana Education Service (GES) to avoid backdoor recruitment and do the needful work because we are all Ghanaians. Thank you.
