Que Sera, Sera’ Hitmaker, Doris Day Dies At The Age Of 97

Doris Day was an American actress, singer, and animal welfare activist. She began her career as a big band singer in 1939, her first hit recording being “Sentimental Journey” in 1945 with Les Brown & His Band of Renown.

The legendary star has been reported dead on the morning of May 13, 2019 at her home in California, USA.

The singer turned actress starred in films such as Calamity Jane and Pillow Talk and had a hit in 1956 with Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be).

It said she had been “in excellent physical health for her age, until recently contracting a serious case of pneumonia”.

“She was surrounded by a few close friends as she passed,” the statement continued.
