Rajon attended the Eastern High School where he was serious about basketball for The Who three years he spent in the school. He joined the school’s basketball team where he earned a spot on the All-State honors and was named the 7th Region Playervof the Year.

He was then transferred to Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy for his senior year where he broke Jeff Mcknnis’s single-season school record of 303 assists, while averaging a double-double.

Having completed his high school education with great performances, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky. He completed his freshman year at Kentucky averaging 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.6 steals.

Rajon was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft and traded to the Boston Celtics. He played his rookie season in 25 matches and made his NBA regular season debut on November 1, 2006.

On April 20, 2008, je made his playoff against the Atlanta Hawks and finished the game with 15 points, 9 assists and 2 steals. He als gave a strong performance in the NBA championship finals which Celtics faced the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rajon recorded his first career triple-double with a career-high during the 2008-2009 NBA season when playing against the Indians Pacers.

He became the first Celtic to lead the league in steals after he achieved his high average points in the 2009- 2010 season.

After recovering from injury in 2010-2011 season, he rose to a gray performance. He still lead the NBA in assists in the season after his injury.

Rajon was traded alongside Dwight Powell, to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Jae Crowder, Jameer NelsonBrandan Wright in December 2014. He made his debut for the Mavericks against the San Antonio Spurs.
