Rastafarians in Ghana have bemoaned over how weed price is being hiked after the Increment in transport fares and has led to the herb price change.
They made this known during the #Fixthecountry demonstration over the 2022 budget and fiscal policy of the gov’t that was read in parliament weeks ago by the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta
He said, “There’s something going on in the country, I’m not happy. The budget has affected the price of weed because those bringing the herbs from the village are afraid that they will be arrested, therefore if it comes to Accra, the price will definitely increase”
One of the Rastafarians called for the legalization of weed adding that it’s a more expensive product than cocoa saying the country will make billions if it’s being legalized.
He however emphasized that the herb is more beneficial than cocoa so the government should look into it and make the legalization possible.
