The perception of what’s beautiful in the eyes of Ghanaian men have changed from big things to slim things. Therefore, ladies who’re fat are not seen as s£kxy in the eyes of most men especially in the bedroom. So it’s no news that fat women are hitting the gym off late just to appear s£kzy and classy to entice the men.

Well, a young Ghanaian actress and musician by name Nana Frema has recounted her ordeal in the hands of men as well as cooperate institutions because of her plus size. According to her, she lost great deals and opportunities because of her plus size which is something cooperate bodies don’t see it as useful to their brand.

Therefore, she was forced to undergo liposuction and fat transfer just to meet the demands of cooperate institutions. The actress shared her bitter experience on ‘The Late Afternoon Show’ with Berla Mundi on GH One television.

According to Nana Frema, people constantly referred to her weight as the reason why her music career wasn’t growing. Although she had nicer curves when she was younger.

“I had a nice curves when young but as I grew, I gained so much weight around my waist. I started feeling uncomfortable because people around me constantly passed derogatory comments about my plus size. This propelled me to go for liposuction just to lose weight”, she narrated.

She mentioned that prior to the fat transfer surgery, she missed her old curvy figure, lost her self-esteem and hid her weight under saggy clothes in order to go unnoticed but it only got worse as people in the industry refused to work with her because she was too fat
