US-based Ghanaians Gospel musician and preacher, Sonnie Badu has prophesied into Black Sherif’s music after he released his latest single ‘Kwaku the Traveler’.

Following the release of the song, it is ranked number one on Apple iTunes in Nigeria, a feat that has not been achieved by a Ghanaian musician in a long while.

With this, the young chap is crossing borders with the song that most Nigerian musicians are buying into.

Reacting to the success of the song, Sonnie Badu in an Instagram post has revealed that breaking through the barriers of Nigeria with music is not an easy task and commended Blacko for being able to do so.

According to Sonnie Badu, he foresees Blacko winning a Grammy for Ghana; an award that has eluded the country, and advised Black Sherif to continue doing great music but also remember to stay humble and focused.

He wrote: “Breaking through the borders of Nigeria with music is not a joke. I’ve been here over 10 years and Nigeria is home for me when it comes to music.

I am very proud of you @blacksherif_ your music is_ a breath of fresh air. Remain humble and focused, come up with more bars and stay clean. Hopefully you can win a Grammy for Ghana music sometime in the future. #DrBadu.”
