Rev Owusu Bempah refused bail, remanded into police custody [Check out his charges]

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, has been arrested and is being held in police custody.

Rev. Bempah, who has been charged with threatening to kill Nana Agraada as well as offensive conduct to the breach of peace, appeared in court for the first time on Monday alongside five other church members.

Bail was also denied to the other five defendants.

Owusu Bempah and his co-accused church members were escorted to court by heavily armed police officers.

During the accused’s court appearance, a large number of church members made their way to the church, ostensibly to witness the proceedings. Some, on the other hand, attempted to prevent media personnel from covering the proceedings.

Owusu Bempah and a number of his church members are accused of assaulting police officers who came to the church to investigate an alleged threat to kill Nana Agradaa, a fetish priestess who recently converted to Christianity.
