Richard Kingston Apologizes On Behalf Of Black Star Players Who Abandoned Junior Agogo

Former Blackstars striker, Agogo, lamented in an interview with BBC about how his international teammates he played with at Black Stars abandoned him when he suffered a stroke some years ago. The former Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers striker also revealed that he suffered a stroke and an ailment known as Aphasia,  which made it impossible for him to use language.

After this revelation, former black stars goalkeeper, Richard Kingston has come out to apologise to Agogo and his family on behalf of his colleagues who abandoned him and begged for his forgiveness. Kingston added that he lost touch with Agogo some years ago and that he only learnt recently that Agogo was sick.

Richard ‘Olele’ Kingston was speaking in an interview with said that he has Agogo in thoughts and prayers and urged him to fight on.

“Sometimes when you have friends from the beginning and they betray you like this it’s very painful so I understand him…” Richard Kingston stated

“I’ll like to apologise on behalf of some of the players who couldn’t reach out to Junior Agogo and his family that maybe we have neglected him at this point but all the same I believe that we are in spirit with him so we wish him speedy recovery”, he added
