Richard Groves is an actor from England who gained popularity for his role as Garry Hobbs in the TV soap opera EastEnders, which he played from 2000 to 2009. Before joining EastEnders, he appeared in Burnside, a spin-off of another TV series, The Bill. Groves received his acting training at The Poor School in London.
During his time on EastEnders, Groves’ character was involved in several storylines, including his relationship with Dawn Swann and his role in a robbery that led to his arrest and imprisonment. After leaving the show in 2009, Groves continued to work in TV and film, appearing in shows such as Doctors and Holby City. Russell was born in Weymouth and attended school in Dorchester. After graduating from high school, she began to ride and train horses, eventually starting her own horse feed firm, Equiplus, which primarily sold to the Middle East. Russell also created Physicool, a lotion for athletes, after seeing the success of reusable ice packs for horses in the United States.
She appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2009 and received a £100,000 investment from Deborah Meaden. Russell and Groves later met at a Lord’s Taverners charity event in July 2013 and later married. The couple even won Celebrity Come Dine With Me on television.
