Former Ghana Blackstars Player, Junior Agogo’s funeral took place yesterday, September 20, 2019, in London specially at St. Mark’s Church, 114 Hamilton Terrace, London NW8 9UT.
Unlike how most Ghanaians are buried in the grave when they die, Junior Agogo’s remains would be burnt to ashes – cremated.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the government of Ghana. They included; Deputy Sports Minister, Perry Okudzeto, leader of the delegation, executives of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, CAF Deputy General Secretary Tony Baffoe and menbers of the GFA normalization Committee; Sammy Kuffuor and Naa Odofoley.
As a reminder, Junior Agogo passed away in a hospital in London on Thursday, August 22. Agogo who was the ‘poster boy’ of Ghana’s 2008 Africa Cup of Nations campaign finally gave in to the debilitating stroke which he had been battling the last couple of years.
