Three pupils of an International School at Nungua were yesterday knocked down by an alleged drunk driver.
The three pupils who became victims of the alleged drunk driving had one dying on the spot with the others sustaining serious injuries.
Eyewitness reports say the three students were by the roadside purchasing waakye when the KIA car loaded with furniture veered off the road and run into the students killing one of them.
According to what the eyewitness told an Adom FM reporter, the driver’s breathe reeked of alcohol after the unfortunate; a reason why they suspected he was drunk.
The driver in his narration mentioned that he experienced a brake failure, causing him to climb onto the walkway to slam into the pupils.
The Nungua Police were called onto the scene and transported the victims to the hospital.
The Junior High School pupils are yet to be identified, while the driver was marched to the Nungua police station.
