Salma Mumin, Edem And Xandy Kamel Advise Health Minister To Use The Local Dialect To Educate The Public On Coronavirus

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak , various social media outlets have taken it upon themselves to advise the public on precautionary measures to be taken. The mainstream media has also been advising the public on precautionary measures.

Our Ghanaian celebrities, Salma Mumin, Edem and Xandy Kamel have asked various stakeholders to use the local dialect to educate the public on preventive measures.

Since the outbreak, a lot of celebrities have been using foreign language (English language) to communicate to their fans about the pandemic this according to Salma Mumin is not helping to determinate the information to those who are uneducated.

In an Instagram post Edem said: “If u are a public figure, socialite or celebrity and u can make a local language video to help disseminate safety information pls do.it looks like non English speaking ppl are being misinformed.”

The likes of Salma Mumin and Xandy Kamel used their local dialects to advise the public on what to do to stay safe against the Coronavirus.
