Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hon. Sam George has hinted the amount Sarkodie and Samini received before coming out to endorse the candidature of President Akufo-Addo.

His assertion comes on the back of a November 2 surprise that was pulled by Samini and Sarkodie where the former endorsed President Akufo-Addo in a newly released song titled ‘Kpoyaka’ which was immediately followed by another endorsement by rapper Sarkodie in a newly released song titled “Happy Day.’

According to a Facebook post by Sam George, Samini and Sarkodie took an amount of GHS500,000 to campaign for the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer.

He described their endorsement of the governing party NPP as funny and went on to state that their music will still be enjoyed by Ghanaians regardless of their political colourization.

“Don’t be swayed by any funny endorsements people. We may love their music and groove to it but we don’t trust their political choices especially when they are worth GH500,000,” Sam George wrote.

In a piece of related news, President Akufo-Addo has reacted to the endorsement of the candidature of President Akufo-Addo by Samini and Sarkodie by saying that he finds and sees nothing wrong with it.
