Somewhere in 2016, Ghana’s most decorated rapper of all time in the person of Sarkodie released a cypher titled “Trumpet”.

This “Trumpet” song instrumentation was produced by Fortune Dane and the track featured young rappers like TeePhlow, Medikal, Strongman, Koo Ntakra, Donzy Chaka and Pappy Kojo.

And as we speak, almost all of the artistes who were featured on the above-mentioned cypher have become recognized acts in the county and beyond.

Similarly, in the year 2018, Sarkodie again assembled 10 budding rappers on a cypher christened “Biibi Ba” just to give them the necessary exposure to excel in the game of Ghana music industry.

The artistes who were put on the track are; Lyrical Joe, Tulenkey, Kwame Dame (Frequency), Kofi Mole, ToyBoi, Yeyo, Amerado, 2Fyngers, OBKay and CJ Biggerman.

And to the best knowledge and enquiries made by Ruthy, a highly-opinionated showbiz critic, the artistes featured on ‘Trumpet’ and ‘Biibi Ba’ cypher need critical grooming and nurturing from Sarkodie.

Simply put, Sarkodie should go back and groom the rappers he featured on ‘Trumpet’ and ‘Biibi Ba’ cypher as most are struggling for hit songs.

She mentioned acts like Koo Ntakra and Donzy of the “Trumpet” cypher fame; 2Fyngers, OBKay and CJ Biggerman of “Biibi Ba” fame who have been missing in action, therefore, need urgent grooming.
