It’s an indisputable fact that, Shatta Wale is the real king of dancehall music and the only artiste in Ghana to have dropped hits after hits in 2017, as he’s done in previous years. His song ‘Ayoo‘ is very popular in Ghana and it appears, it’s popularity has crossed the shores of Ghana.
In a new video, that was posted by TheShadeRoom on their Instagram page, a US based Entertainment blog, Shatta Wale’s song ‘Ayoo’ was being played at a wedding which seems to also have been held in the USA.
But what’s the big deal?
The song was not just played randomly at the wedding, but the song, the groom and his groomsmen chose to do their choreography for the bride at the wedding, which you would see in the video below. Secondly, the video was also posted on the Instagram page of a popular US blog. The blog has over 9 million followers alone on Instagram with majority of the followers being people in the US.
It was exciting to see lots of people comment on the video asking for the title of the song and the name of the artiste, because they’ve fallen in love with the song.
Now these are people all in the USA–you gerrit? It’s such a big exposure for Shatta Wale as an artiste for people who might not have heard of him before to discover him and his music because it was used as the theme song for a choreography performed at such a big wedding.
At the time, we were publishing this post, the video had received over 1.2 million views on Instagram. Congrats to King Wale. It’s likely more people would book him to come perform in the USA and probably at their events.
