It was all joy this day in 2019 when the two Nigerian singers, Simi and Adekunle Gold wedded each other.

Two years on and the two have welcomed a baby girl together.

On the occasion of their 2nd marriage anniversary, Simi opened the lid on what has, thus far, kept their marriage blossoming and why they have never looked back since tying the knot two years ago.

Simi took to her Instagram page to reveal one of her favourite things about her husband Adekunle Gold.

According to the “duduke” singer, her husband is simply a good person and she is thus proud to know him and even elated to be his wife.

Simi said this in a long message chronicling the trajectory of things within the two years that they have been married.

She talked about the birth of their child through a pandemic that has ravaged the world and how Adekunle Gold had been by her side all this while.

Below is what she wrote on her Instagram page on Wednesday, January 13, the day of their marriage anniversary;

2 years.

Well, 2 years on government paper and 7 years since I gree for you, you lucky man.

Through a pregnancy. With a baby, we’re both unashamedly obsessed with. Through a pandemic.

And it’s still you. I’ve never had to wonder if you’re in my corner.

You’re still the best man I know. You should have been your own best man (don’t leave me).

One of my favourite things about you is that you’re a really, really good person.

I like you a lot.

I’m so proud to know you and be your wife. I pray that God continues to be the foundation of our marriage and home.

I love you Kunle Kosoko. Now, forever and one extra day, and then another, and then another, and then another, ati bębę lo…

Happy Anniversary Baby 🎉

PS: My wedding was totally the best wedding party I’ve ever been in my life. Lol.”
