Sisanda Magala was a member of the Eastern Province cricket team’s roster for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup.
With 12 wickets, he led all bowlers in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup. He was included in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars lineup for the inaugural T20 Global League season in August 2017.
However, the event was initially delayed to November 2018 by Cricket South Africa in October 2017, and it was then called off.

He was included in the South Africa One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against England in January 2020.
Magala was, however, deemed to be not fully healthy prior to the ODI series and was left out of South Africa’s side.
But the Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for South Africa’s matches against England included Magala the following month.
Magala was selected for South Africa’s limited overs squads for their series against Pakistan in March 2021. On April 10, 2021, he played for South Africa in his first T20I match against Pakistan. He was included in South Africa’s ODI team for their series against the Netherlands in November 2021.
On November 26, 2021, he played in his first ODI for South Africa against the Netherlands. Magala was selected for the series against India’s Test team the following month.
