Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu Blasts Man Who Called For Investigation Into The Controversial Agyapa Deal

Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has gone on the offensive against one Nii Tettey Tetteh, a Ghanaian man who asked his office to investigate the controversial Agyapa deal.

Mr. Amidu is not happy about the request made by Mr. Tetteh by stating that he is attempting to take credit for something already being done by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). Amidu explained that the OSP has already launched a full-scale investigation into the stinky deal so he doesn’t understand the position of Mr. Tetteh here.

“Your letter under reference, therefore, appears to this office as an opportunistic and populist enterprise on your part to take credit for processes already independently commenced by this Office,” Mr. Amidu lashed out.

Mr. Amidu also pointed out that the petition contains mere speculations that do not warrant the state committing resources to pursue his request. See the full letter as put out by Mr. Amidu below:
