WatsUp TV, a Pan-African and  Bi-Lingual television channel, together with  Avance Media, a PR & rating agency have released their inaugural list of the Top 100 African Musicians for the year 2021.

Featuring numerous musicians from  about 26 African countries, the list contains the names of legendary hit makers such as Angelique Kidjo, Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Mohammed Mounir, Cassper Nyovest, Khaligrapgh Jones, Sarkodie, who continue to take African music to the ends of the earth.

In the 2021 edition of the Top100 African Musicians list, 9 groups, 18 Females and 73 males with the 20 year-old Nigerian musician, Rema being the youngest and the 66 year-old Egyptian act, Mohammed Mounir being the oldest.

Nigeria has the highest number of 26 representatives on the list. Next comes Ghana with 10 musicians, Cote D’Ivoire with 7 and South Africa with 6 musicians.

According to ABD Traore, CEO of WatsUp TV this annual list focuses on the biggest African musicians who take Africa to the world at large with their hits. It also takes into consideration their expedient career success, brand value, digital impact, and continental outlook.

He further stated that following his list, there will be several other engagements that the honourees will be involved in to celebrate their artistic prowess.
