Celebrated Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has finally released the long-awaited video for his ‘viral’ song PUTUU which featured Togolese international Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor.
The video which was directed by Yaw Skyface was shot in Togo at the private residence of his friend and confidante Emmanuel Adebayor.
The colourful scenes of the video leave jaw-dropping especially when Stonebwoy is seen clad in his BHIM Nation merchandise and performing his iconic dance moves. The beautiful sceneries of Togo and the artistic and creative dance moves of the dancers give the video a touch of gold.
PUTUU is an acronym for (Pray Until The Unusual Unravels) which is a freestyle produced by Streetbeatz which has gone viral and currently is the hottest track in Ghana. The song was able to garner over a million streams on Audiomack within days of release and also clocked 1 million streams on Youtube within weeks.
The song ‘Putuu’ sounded inexplicable and mundane when it was first released because the diction and lyrics were very hard to follow and memorization of it was a tough job. However, the danceability of the song coupled with the concept has given it a lead position on the playlist of music-loving fans.
Stonebwoy has explained that although the song may sound gibberish and incomprehensible, it is actually a prayer to God Almighty and a motivation to all to strive, work hard and when the situation gets worse, one needs to prayer the more.
