Multiple Award-winning broadcast journalist, Serwaa Amihere has added her voice to the ongoing brouhaha regarding Nigerian and Ghanaian artists.
Serwaa Amihere advised that the comparison between Ghanaian and Nigerians should stop.
She added that instead of comparing them, Ghanaians should rather show their support for these artists to help push them to the top.
A few hours ago, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and other top artists in Ghana faced serious backlash after their Nigerian colleague Asake filled the O2 Arena in London.
Ahmed Oloade, popularly known as Asake, on Sunday night made history as the first Nigerian newbie to sell out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.
The Mr Money crooner made a grand entrance as he arrived the stage in a helicopter amid wild cheers from fans.
He performed a medley of songs from his debut album, ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ and his sophomore project, ‘Work Of Art.’
He also brought out his YBNL record label mate, Fireboy DML, Lil Kesh and hosts of other artistes.
Asake now joins Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy on the roll call of Nigerian artistes that have sold out the O2 Arena.
Reacting to this, some Ghanaians decided to bash artists in Ghana for not reaching the same level despite their level of experience in music industry.
Anyway Serwaa Amihere feels otherwise. She Tweeted; Instead of the comparisons, why don’t we support them ?
I am not an expert in this field but we can and we should.
There has to be a way!
