Stop Sampling, Be Original – Kofi Kinaata Advises Kuami Eugene

Kuami Eugene has been warned by his social media fans to be careful else his hard earned repute will be tainted because of the constant accusation of song sampling.

Recall that Kuami Eugene was ‘busted’ for plagiarism when he released his ‘Confusion’ song. Thus, Malian singer Sidiki Diabate had released a French tune back in 2015 from which Kuami Eugene seems to have sampled rhythm and translated lyrics.

Besides, Kuami Eugene was accused not long ago for stealing the lyrics of Nigerian rapper Ice Prince for his ‘Wish Me Well’ song. Although, both have managed to remix the song (Wish Me Well) to let sleeping dogs lie.

But Kofi Kinaata reacting to the numerous plagiarism controversies hitting the camp of the ‘Angela’ hitmaker advised  Kuami to be original in his chosen profession. In an interview with Mr El on Connect FM’s mid-morning show, Kofi Kinaata reluctantly posited that;

“Sometimes it is just by coincidence; you know, like they say, great minds think alike. So it is possible to say things similar to what others may have said in the past without knowing”.

Regardless, Kofi Kinaata could not fathom why song sampling cases keep hitting the camp of the Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene. Known for his sarcasm, Kinaata jovially said,

“If the same accident (song sampling) happens twice consecutively, it’s got to be intentional”.

More importantly, the rapper, born Martin King Arthur and known for his creativity and originality, entreated musicians to remain original in their music composition to produce everlasting music.
