He made the comments shortly after he received only a nomination for the 2018 awards. He tweeted: “So everyday the #sarkeffect #sarkeffect you guys dey talk no, only one nomination for a whole transformer. This is very bad.”

Pleas from followers to pull down the post fell on deaf ears as an obviously frustrated Strongman stuck to his guns and defended his point – stating that, he’s been waiting for 8 years to make a mark. See posts below.

Afterwards, many have been reading various meanings into the comments and have descended heavily on the rapper for some are of the view that Strongman is becoming arrogant. However, the rapper told MzGee at the just ended awards that, his tweet was totally misinterpreted.

According to him he “wasn’t necessarily saying that his management is not doing enough.” He clarified further saying, “I’m directing the arrow towards some people. When I do well, they attribute everything to Sark effect, but the moment something is wrong, they say the artiste is bad.”

Addressing a question on whether or not his management found his comments offensive, he said “I know Sark, and we are that cool so he wouldn’t talk about it that much, and anyway, you know anytime you can call him and tell him you’re sorry. So maybe we did that behind the scene.” Asked if he apologised to Sarkodie, he said, “yes”.

On records, Strongman got signed to Sarkodie’s SarkCess Music label in 2017 and he has released good songs since – raising his stock somehow.
