Sunday Igboho Secures N20 Billion As He Wins DSS In Court For Raiding His Residence

Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba Nation activist has won a case against the DSS in court with N20 billion as damages.

The Department of State Service (DSS) has been asked by the Oyo State High Court to pay an amount of N20 billion to Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho for unlawfully invading his residence.

Recall a team of DSS operatives raided the Yoruba Nation activist’s residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State in July.

Sunday Igboho filed a lawsuit through his lawyers and during the ruling which was presided over by Justice Ladiran Akintola on Friday, September 17, the court awarded him a huge sum of money as damages against the secret police.

The raid was declared by the court as illegal and criticized the DSS for acting base on what the justice described as “Arbitrary aggression and prejudice” from his activities for the Yoruba nation
