Tan Chuan Jin is a Singaporean politician and current Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore. He was born on 10 January 1969 in Singapore.
Tan Chuan Jin has been involved in politics since 2011 when he was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
In his political career, Tan Chuan Jin has held several ministerial positions. He served as the Minister for Manpower from 2012 to 2014, where he was responsible for overseeing labor policies and regulations in Singapore. From 2014 to 2015, he held the position of Minister for Social and Family Development, focusing on social policies and welfare issues.
