Taylor Fritz is an American professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on October 10, 2022, and a doubles ranking of world No. 104, achieved on July 26, 2021.

Kathy May, a former top-10 player, and Guy Henry Fritz, who also played professional tennis and was named the US Olympic Development Coach of the Year in 2016, had three boys before Fritz was born.
David May, the creator of The May Department Stores Company, which amalgamated with Macy’s, is the great-great-grandfather of Taylor Fritz. Chris and Kyle are Fritz’s two older maternal half-brothers.
In the San Diego metropolitan area’s Rancho Santa Fe, Fritz grew up alongside his brothers. He went to Torrey Pines High School, where as a freshman he won the CIF singles championship in the San Diego area. He transferred to an online high school to play full-time ITF junior competitions a few months into his sophomore year.
