Video: I quit my job as a teacher to start selling in traffic with ₵50 due to the poor salary – Ghanaian lady shares story

DJ Nyaami of SVTV fame has interacted with a young Ghanaian lady by the name of Evelyn Mensah who said she quit her job as a professional teacher to sell on the street of Accra.

Evelyn said looking at the meagre salary she earned, she had to take drastic action before penury crippled her completely.

The young lady admitted that her performance in WASSCE was not the best, so she could not continue to the university. She, however, got advised to go to a vocational school, and she did.

Upon graduating, she started selling pastries and other food items to support herself but business was not booming so she decided to be a pupil’s teacher.

Things did turn out as expected as a teacher and she decided to hit the street with just ₵50 to start a new business.

She revealed things have been relatively stable and she is not doing badly at all. Watch the video below for the full interview;
