Whitney Adeniran, the deceased Chrisland school student who died in February, was finally laid to rest today, March 2, 2023.

Remember that Whitney’s mother, Mrs Adeniran, had called out the school after the death of her first child on February 9th, 2023.

The mother, who refused to perform an autopsy on her daughter, stated that she owed it to her daughter to determine the cause of her death.

Her autopsy revealed that her daughter died as a result of electrocution. Whitney Adeniran was laid to rest today, surrounded by the tears and emotions of family and friends who had gathered to pay their respects.

Her mother was seen sobbing as her husband and others attempted to comfort her.

Whitney Adeniran, a 12-year-old student at Chrisland School Lagos, died from electrocution, according to the findings of an autopsy made public by her mother and confirmed by Lagos state attorney-general, Moyosore Onigbanjo.

“My child was electrocuted to death,” Blessing Adeniran, the mother of the deceased, wailed in a video on social media.

“The post mortem report revealed the cause of death to be asphyxia and electrocution,” a statement by Mr Onigbanjo said on Thursday. The post mortem report was issued by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on March 1.

After viewing images of autopsies online, Mrs Adeniran said she felt uneasy about subjecting her late daughter to the procedure. Instead, she pleaded with the school to investigate Whitney’s death and furnish her with the findings.

She said Chrisland school denied her request and said the student had been ill which left her no choice than to go ahead with the autopsy to find her daughter’s cause of death.

“My daughter was opened up, they took part of her kidney, they took part of her liver, they took stomach content, she was menstruating, they broke her leg, took her bone marrow, all because Chrisland kept protecting their reputation,” Mrs Adeniran explained amid tears.
