National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the only group of people who can be blamed for the massing up of people at the funeral of Sir John is the family of the deceased.

Many Ghanaians have expressed concern when photos and videos from Sir John’s funeral which took place about a week ago hit the internet.

There was a complete disregard for the COVID protocol; protocols that were sanctioned by the President and the government.

Many expressed serious reservations and could not understand why the president will set rules and break them.

Reacting to these concerns, Freddie Blay has said the government can not be held liable for the breach of COVID-19 protocols at the funeral of the former NPP General Secretary since the entire event was organized by the family hence the family need to take responsibility.
