Veteran Highlife musician Rex Omar has stated that the Christians who go to church are being brainwashed from the real teachings of the Bible.

Majority of Ghanaians spend their quality time in churches to worship their Maker, but Highlife musician Rex Omar says he is indifferent and that he doesn’t fancy going to church.

He believes instead of the church winning souls for Christ, it does otherwise.

Rex Omar disclosed that the last time he stepped foot in a church was in 1997 due to the hypocrisy that exists in the church.

The former Assembly member said though he loves God and have direct contact with him he doesn’t need the church for anything.

Some pastors in recent past have been bombarded for preaching and performing miracles just to increase their membership and milk their congregation dry.

The former member of Nakorex said though he has stopped attending church, his children have the liberty of attending churches of their choices.

“I was born into a Christian home but I had to stop along the line. I stopped attending Assemblies of God Church since 1997 because I have a direct contact to God. I believe in God and love him so much but church is not my thing for now. There is hypocrisy in the church.

People go to church for different reasons and I don’t like the fact that Christians are being brainwashed. The church makes you narrow- minded in thinking. He revealed this on the delay show.
