Dancehall act, Jupitar has posited that the media have its favourite artistes and remain bias in their line of duty which is why great talents like himself don’t get the chance to glow.
Jupitar believes this unhealthy practice retards the development of the industry and inhibits new acts from emerging. The ‘Enemies’ hitmaker revealed this during an interview with Graphic Showbiz.
‘There is too much favouritism in the industry that is why people don’t see much of me. The media, especially have their favourite musicians who they promote all the time. But that should not be the case,’ he said.
He further added:
‘You only see a few media houses supporting, especially young talents. We have many budding talents doing very well but are denied the needed attention. Favouritism is the reason many talents are left behind and find it difficult to get out there,’
