Outspoken Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has advised producers and directors to inculcate the habit of introducing new faces in their movies. To him, Ghanaians are bored and fed-up with the same old faces dominating their TV sets with regards to watching a movie.
Speaking to Tracey Boakye on “Time with Tracey”, he posited that producers and directors kill talents when young actors and actresses begin to rise. This is as a result of their habit of casting same old faces. According to Kwaku Manu, not all movies should feature a star.
He added that, it’s high time movie directors and producers make room for up and coming actors and actresses to showcase their craft.
“Instead of providing an opportunity for up & coming talents, they insist on using the same faces all the time hence stifling the progress of the up and coming actors and actresses”, he lamented.
