New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Gabby Otchere-Darko has claimed that the NPP as compared to their National Democratic Congress (NDC) opponents are held at a higher standard.
According to him, both the NPP and NDC misconducted themselves prior to the swearing-in of the new speaker, Ghanaians have been more focused on chastising the NPP.
“I keep saying Ghanaians treat NPP to a higher standard than the NDC. Much of the talk about the hooliganism in Parliament on Jan 6-7 is about Carlos and Ursula and not about J Jinapor, Muntaka, and Sam George et al. Or, am I missing something?”, he wrote on Twitter.
Born in Chelsea, Gabby Otchere Darko practised journalism for a number of years and was an active voice against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regime. He founded a public policy think tank called the Danquah Institute. Presently, he is the majority shareholder (60%) and Editor-in-Chief of The Statesman newspaper.
