Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh thinks the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is Ghanaians’ best chance compared to the opposition NDC.

He cited the devaluation of the Ghana cedis versus the Dollar as one of the government’s concerns, but said that it would have been worse if another political party was in control of the Ghanaian economy.

NAPO stated the cedi, which plunged to an all-time low, would have touched Ghs48 to a dollar if the NDC was in power.

“NPP’s worst is better than NDC’s greatest. Some of you are inspired to serve NPP; you want to do your best.

“Only NPP can improve Ghana. Imagine how much worse it would be if it were NDC. If NDC was in power, the dollar would have reached 48, he remarked.

He urged the young patriots to stick with the party and administration despite the hardships and to avoid infighting, anger, and acrimony, which might hinder the party’s capacity to break the 8.

“No TESCON member should doubt 2024. Better to be the governing party’s gardener than the opposition’s landlord, he said.
