Lil Wayne has said he doesn’t care who made it to Billboard and Vibe’s list of greatest rappers of all time because he is the best of all time.
Weezy mentioned this during his Apple Music 1 appearance, explaining that he is simply not concerned with the ranking as he’s confident that everyone knows he’s really the G.O.A.T. “Man, who the hell is before me?”
Wayne questioned. “Was the list including ALL Hip Hop, like before and after as well? I can deal with that… I will tell you that I am a muthafuckin’ one. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I’m number one. Go ask ’em. They know what it is.”
Lil Wayne also used the moment to talk about his health, saying being in a good shape over the years has nothing to do with exercising and everything to do with the foods he consumes.
The Young Money boss recently discussed everything from his most recent song, “Kant Nobody,” which includes DMX, to his eagerly anticipated 15th studio album, Tha Carter VI, with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe.
When the conversation turned to more personal matters, Weezy revealed that the influence of his mother has allowed him to keep his health by watching his diet.
When the conversation shifted to more private topics, Weezy disclosed that he’s been able to maintain his health by watching his diet because of the impact of his mother.
“When I was 19 I moved to Miami and my mom is a chef and she was very happy for the move because New Orleans is crazy,” Lil Wayne said. “One thing she really wanted me to do was get a personal chef. So therefore you’re not just eating anything.”
