“I will drink poison and die if Ibrahim Mahama doesn’t go to jail,” – these were the words of Kennedy Agyapong when the business mogul was fingered in a lot of corruption scandal.
Kennedy Agyapong in an appearance on Adom Tv’s Badwam show promised to drink poison and die if Ibrahim Mahama doesn’t go to jail.
Ibrahim Mahama was touted as the brain behind the collapse of UT Bank; a claim which was debunked by the brother of the former president.
Fast-forward to 2021, Ibrahim Mahama is still walking around as a free man and going about his usual business with Kennedy Agyapong praising him on live television for establishing a cement factory to battle it out on the market with Ghacem and Dangote cement.
The MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, while speaking on a programme on Net2 Television on Monday, May 10, 2021, urged Ghanaians to support Ibrahim Mahama’s locally-produced Dzata Cement.
“We need to commend Ibrahim Mahama. He’s the one who has brought Dzata cement, the only Ghanaian-owned cement manufacturing company,” Mr Agyapong said.
“From today, I’m going to instruct [those handling] my construction; they should all go and buy Dzata cement. Yes, because he’s a Ghanaian.
“Let’s put the politics aside and encourage, motivate Ghanaians who have big dreams. He has brought Dzata cement, forget that he’s NDC or NPP. He’s a Ghanaian.”
