Lucky Mensah, a highlife musician, has told Graphic Showbiz that while he has not retired from music, he is currently focusing his efforts on running a football academy.
“I run LM Soccer Academy which has Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 10 footballers.
“That is where all my concentration has been lately, we play with teams all across the country and we are doing very well,” he mentioned to Graphic Showbiz.
Lucky Mensah added that he was known as Skillsman and used to be a very good football player.
Highlife artist Lucky Mensah, born Alex Lucky Mensah, developed his talent at the age of 11 when he began singing in the Kristo Asafo church in Gomoa, Central Region.

When he moved to Accra, he continued to sing in the Kristo Asafo location in Accra New Town.
Later, he joined the Figo band but later left the group to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album in 1993.
Since then, Lucky Mensah has worked hard to earn acknowledgements for his works with 11 albums and hits such as ‘Aduu Sumo Akwadu’, Come Back To Me’, ‘Nkratuo’ among others.
