Tom Jackson was survived by his daughter named Katie Phelps. After breaking from his ex-wife, they rekindled their love and married again in March 2018. Tom Jackson was popularly known for his role in the television series Queer Eye. He died on 3rd March 2023 due to a metastatic adenocarcinoma, a gland cancer that spread to other body parts. Who Was Tom Jackson?
Tom Jackson, formerly known as Thomas Leon Jackson, was born on December 20, 1959, to Sue Ann Ransdell Jackson and Thomas Jackson. Prior to appearing on Queer Eye, he worked at Federal Express and later retired. He also worked as a dump truck driver for Taylor Transport in Cartersville, Georgia.
Tom’s appearance on Queer Eye’s “You Can’t Fix Ugly” episode gave him hope in life. Following his passing, his family requested that fans rewatch the episode in his honour.
Tom Jackson’s death was announced on Instagram by the official Queer Eye account. The post included pictures of Tom, with France commenting “Such incredibly sad news” and Van Ness writing “RIP Tom” with a red heart emoji. Co-host Bobby Berk also paid tribute to Tom by having a “redneck Margarita” in his honour. Tom passed away at the age of 63 from metastatic adenocarcinoma.
