The Premier League is arguably the most competitive league in the world where footballers are paid huge sums of money as weekly allowances and signing-on fees.

The branding of the Premier League has attracted huge viewership across the world and made it the most-viewed football league across the globe.

This clearly explains why every footballer dreams to play in the Premier league first for the experience and exposure and secondly for the money.

While Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea is the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a weekly allowance of £375,000, there are some Ghanaian footballers also making huge bucks in the league.

These are the top paid Ghanaian footballers in the English Premier League 2021.

1, Thomas Partey – Arsenal

The Arsenal midfielder is the highest-paid player in the team alongside captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

With a move from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal and featuring in 16 games so far, Thomas Partey is the highest paid Ghanaian player in the EPL and across Europe with a weekly allowance of £250,000 translating into £13,000,000 annually.

2, Jeffery Schlupp – Crystal Palace

Jeffery Schlupp is the second-highest-paid player in the Premier League with a weekly allowance or salary of £56,000.

With so much experience playing in several PL teams, Jeffery takes more money than his fellow countryman Jordan Ayew in the Crystal Palace side.

3, Jordan Ayew – Crystal Palace

Jordan Ayew is the third-highest-paid Ghanaian player in the Premier League with a weekly allowance of £32,500.

Jordan is part of the least paid players at Crystal Place due to his free move from West Ham to the London-based and also because his form has dipped in recent games.

4, Christian Atsu – Newcastle United

Christian Atsu, one of the prolific Ghanaian wingers is on the list of the highest-paid players at Newcastle United with a weekly allowance of £30,000.

The Ghana international has been restricted to the side’s developmental squad since the start of the new season and continues to struggle to earn a spot in the team.

Atsu rejected the opportunity to move to Scottish giants Celtic in a bid to fight for a place in the team.

5, Mohammed Salisu – Southampton

Mohammed Salisu, after his move from the Spanish league to Southampton, has been receiving a weekly allowance of £23,077

Although he has made only 6 appearances all season, he is considered one of the highest-paid Ghanaian footballers in the English Premier League.

6, Daniel Amartey – Leicester City

The Ghanaian defender is on a weekly allowance of £21,000 at Leicester City. Part of the team that won the league in 2016, Daniel Amartey lost his regular position to injury.

The 26-year old is one of the lowest earners at the club with an annual salary of £1,092,000. He joined Leicester City in 2016 and has made 56 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
