Transport fares will be increased from Monday – GPRTU

Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) is set to increase transport fares from Monday.

The percentage of the increments in the transport fare is not yet out but GPRTU is letting the public know they should expect an increment.

Speaking to TV3, Industrial Relations Officer of GPRTU, Accra branch, Alhaji Abass Imoro revealed that they have already met the Transport Ministry on this subject.

“The rate at which our fuel prices are increased, I don’t want to preempt anything because there could be another increment soon,”

“Government came up with a sharing policy and we have done our part but they have not. So, hopefully, by next week, we shall increase transport fares.” – Alhaji Abass Imoro said
