Trending GH: Who Wins Artiste of The Year At 2017 VGMAs Tonight?

The 18th edition of the Ghana Music Awards comes off this Saturday, April 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra. More importantly, this year’s artiste of the year nominees are one of its kind as every winner in the category stand the chance of making a history at the end of the day. 

 

 

While rapper EL is hopeful of making history by taking home the award for the second time in a row, others believe it may be time for Stonebwoy to have another taste of success as the first Dancehall artist to win the title twice in three years. More importantly, Joe Mettle on the other hand will be the first Gospel musician to win the artiste of the year since the  inception of Ghana Music Awards provided luck fall on his side tonight.

 

Also, a win for Sarkodie will make him become the first Ghanaian artiste to win the overall artiste of the year for three (3) times which has never happened before. Likewise, Mzvee has been tipped by some entertainment pundits as a contender who may pull a surprise though the odds in that regard appear to be in favour Medikal who stand the chance of pulling a lot of surprises this evening.

Whatever the case, in a little over 15 hours, Ghanaians will know which artist stands tall at the end of the event. Truly, there have been a lot of cotroversies that have dogged the Awards ceremony over the years but that appears not to be a bother for many as scores eagerly anticipate who wins the coveted Artist of the Year title.
