Minister-designate for Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful appeared before the Vetting Committee in parliament today and spoke on several issues of concern.
Below are some of the questions she answered
1, Why do you possess such an arrogant attitude
First and foremost, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful clarified why many perceive her to possess and exhibit a very boisterous attitude. According to her, people see her as arrogant because she is confident and has an independent mind.
2, Why did you attack Collins Dauda?
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said on January 7, 2021, when she entered parliament, all the seats have been labelled and she walked straight to her seat. Then she was instructed by Collins Dauda to leave and find elsewhere to sit.
According to Ursula Owusu, she was adamant and insisted that the seat be given to her. Fast forward, she was pushed and decided to retaliate.

3, Is the cost of data going to reduce?
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said the government has previously taken steps to direct all telcos to rollover all data bundle subscriptions, bundles must not expire. Also, she said the government has taken steps to reduce the Communication Service Tax from 9 per cent to 5 per cent.
